Peridot (Olivine) mala | EVERYTHING IS GOOD | Unique piece | Hand-knotted on vegan beading silk, 8 mm beads, hand-cast silver succulent in beach pebbles from Lentas on Crete/Greece (goldsmith's work)
>> back to all Naturelove Malas
Hand-knotted yoga-mala on vegan silk for Japa mediation made of natural gemstones and a hand-cast succulent made of solid silver, which was worked into a stone from the beach in Lentas on Crete. The pendant is unique because no reusable casting mould was created, but the original was replaced by the silver directly during casting. I brought the stone from an Anahata yoga teacher training in Levinthos (Lentas/Crete) and the pendant replaces the traditional Guru bead of the mala.
Healing stone effect and intention
According to Hildegard von Bingen, "the topaz (as she used to call the peridot) grows in the ninth hour after sunrise in the glow of the sun. Therefore it is fiery warm and contains little air and water." It is said to transform negative feelings such as egoism, envy or heartlessness into the opposite.
Succulents combine the power of the sun with that of water. They are persistent and hardy. Coupled with the energy of the beach pebbles that have been washed round over the years on the beach of Crete, this mala unites the opposites like no other of my works and contains a particularly positive energy.
