Muladhara Chakra Yoga MALA Beads | 1st Root Chakra | Unique piece | Handknotted on Real Silk, 925 Silver, 108 Garnet & Quartz Beads 8 + 6 mm

This yoga mala for your Japa meditation is hand knotted with real silk and contains 108 beautiful high quality garnet and clear quartz crystal beads and a mountain quartz silver guru bead. Attached to the silk tassel is a 925 sterling silver Muladhara chakra charm and another 6 clear quartz crystal beads.

The Muladhara Chakra represents our base and root connection to the earth. It helps us to be grounded and to stand stable and balanced in life. In those times we life in it is no surprise that so many people have trouble with their ability to be grounded. I include myself here and appreciate the practice of the five element form, that I continue learning from my Anahata yoga teacher Peter Clifford as often as possible. There are so many facets of this practice, that you don't only have to focus on the asanas, but the according breathing techniques are a huge helper here as well.

This mala shall support balancing your Muladhara chakra and getting you more grounded. Sing the according Bija-Mantra LAM with it and breathe all the way down starting from your clavicules, ribcage into the diaphragm. Count while breathing in and keep breathing out in the same order while adding at least three more counts. Breathing out longer than breathing in promotes your parasympathetic nervous system. This effect calms you down and lowers your blood pressure when needed.

Red Garnet is used as the main stone for this mala and it is accompanied by the wonderful clear mountain crystal and a quartz guru bead. With the intention of the proverb "Feet on earth, head to heaven" I combine these two contrary gems in a mala, that shall bring you grounding and connection.

The name "Garnet" comes from the Latin word "garanatus," which means "seedlike." Just think of a pomegranate. Early jewelers loved to incorporate Garnet as a talisman stone protect their wearers from negative energies. Garnet is also known for it's "earthy" qualities and was always appreciated as a more affordable version of the red ruby. Garnet also can assist with changing old behaviors and moving past obsolete ideas, helping to manifest self-love and passion.

The 108 beads are hand knotted by me personally in a traditional Tibetan way. The beads are divided into four compartments with 27 beads each and separated by Sterling silver marker beads. At the lower end the turquoise colored silk string runs through the guru bead to end in a shiny tassel, which is also handmade of natural real silk.
